In-Yogiverse[]

YOGSCAST by spotco

WotLK Yogscast

The founding members of the Yogscast, including Lewis, Simon and Hannah met playing WoW, as they were all members of the guild Ye Olde Goone Squade.

Dungeon Guides[]

The first content released by the Yogscast were a series of "how to" guides for various WoW raid bosses. These videos began as your typical "how to" guides with a twist from Simon and Lewis and the editing additionally. As the videos continued, however, they grew further and further from the traditional formula and into complete silliness. With the release of Wrath of the Lich King beta many "how to" guides were released previewing the content. These videos gradually ceased following the release of the Cataclysm beta, which catapulted Lewis and Simon to fairly widespread fame among the WoW community.

The YoGPoD[]

From the "how to" guides spawned the YoGPoD. Lewis and Simon decided that they had too much content from their Ventrilo conversations, so they created the YoGPoD, where they would include all of their off-cuts of content.

Xephos in WoW[]

On his Ye Olde Goone Squade profile, Xephos's World of Warcraft character is listed as "Zephos," playing on TheVenture Co. server in the "Guild of Mearis". His Armory page can be found here.

Honeydew in WoW[]

On his Ye Olde Goone Squade profile, Honeydew's World of Warcraft character is listed as "Honeydew," a Human Paladin playing on the Venture Co. Server. Honeydew's Armory page can be seen here.

Honeydew also has a Dwarf Hunter character called "Honeybeard". Honeybeard's WoWProgress page can be found here however the Armory page for the character can no longer be found.

Hannah in WoW[]

Hannah is well-known to have a Night Elf Druid as her main due to it being the only character of her's to be featured in Yogscast WoW videos, despite having multiple appearances. This is also due to Simon and Lewis' prevalent distaste of her race, Night Elfs and mentioning this fact (that Hannah's main is one) when showing this distaste. Lomadia's WoWProgress page can be found here, however, like Honeybeard, her Armory page has likely been deactivated due to inactivity.

Trivia[]

  • Simon and Lewis' series on WoW and more specifically, on the 3rd expansion, Cataclysm is the longest running Yogscast series in current existence with just over 200 episodes, rivaling both the Civilization V series and Shadow Of Israphel.
